Youth Gardening Conference Teams Up with Everybody Eats Conference
Instead of holding a Lansing Area Youth Gardening Conference this year, YGC has partnered up with the makers of the
Growing Our Food System conference and the fall 2011 Urban Agriculture conference to bring you a jam-packed event full of
dozens of enriching activities.
YGC is currently planning sessions for the upcoming Everybody Eats: Cultivating Food Democracy conference in February
2012.

Lansing Youth Gardening Coalition Garden Mentor Program
Are you looking to start a new youth garden in the Lansing area? Do you have questions and wish there was an experienced
youth garden leader to talk to?
Look no more! A Garden Mentor is here!
As a community service, members of Lansing Youth Gardening Coalition are volunteering their time to offer a one-hour
consultation from experienced youth garden leaders. Your garden mentor will visit your site and come prepared to offer
advice, information about local resources, and answer to your specific garden questions (to the best of their abilities!). This
one time visit with a garden mentor will help to get you going, connected you to local resources, and welcome you in to the
Lansing youth gardening community! Our ability to meet in spring may be limited; please give us advance notice of your
